Senior Business Development Representative

Senior Business Development Representative

NoryLondon - Hybrid, Germany (Hybrid)15 days ago
Full TimeHybridSenior
goforecastinginsurancesalesb2b salesbusiness development+5

Let's fix hospitality, for good. Hospitality is tough – margins are thin, waste is high, and teams are stretched. But it doesn't have to be this hard. That's why we built Nory . Our CEO, Conor, knows the pain first-hand. After founding and scaling Mad Egg in Ireland, he got fed up with juggling "market-leading" systems, clunky spreadsheets, and endless printouts. So he set out to build the tool he wished he'd had from day one. Nory is an all-knowing restaurant management system. It blends real-time data with AI predictive analytics, giving operators control of their margins. From food prep to forecasting, it's operational intelligence that helps restaurants run with consistency, certainty, and profit. The result? Thriving restaurants, better jobs, less waste, healthier margins. And we're just getting started. Fresh off a Series B led by Kinnevik , we've grown to 100+ people across Ireland, the UK, and Spain – and demand is scaling faster than we ever imagined. We're looking for a Senior Business Development Representative (BDR) to join our team and take our outbound engine to the next level. This is a high-impact, high-autonomy role for someone ready to own pipeline generation and play a key part in how we scale. This role is based in our London office , with at least 3 days a week in the office. What you'll be doing: Own outbound – Lead the charge on generating high-quality pipeline through cold calls, emails, LinkedIn, and creative outreach strategies. Pipeline management – Build and maintain a healthy pipeline to support our Account Executives in consistently smashing monthly revenue targets. Account research – Identify key decision-makers and uncover strategic insights using sales tools and online research. Messaging & campaign execution – Craft and deliver personalised, value-led messaging that speaks to our prospects. Collaboration & strategy – Work closely with AEs, marketing and leadership to align on outreach strategies and boost effectiveness. Feed the machine – Share learnings with AEs, Marketing and Product to improve go-to-market strategy. What you'll bring: 2–3 years of experience in outbound B2B sales in a startup, or strong hospitality ops experience with early exposure to sales. A track record of exceeding pipeline targets or supporting revenue goals. Hunger and ambition to be the best – you thrive in a target-driven environment and own your results. A creative, curious approach to outbound – you test, learn, iterate, and don't rely on stale templates. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build rapport quickly. A genuine interest in hospitality, tech, and making a real difference to frontline teams. Coachable, self-driven, and ambitious – whether you're aiming to become an AE, a team lead, or both, we'll back your growth. What you'll get in return: 💰 Competitive salary depending on experience 📈 Meaningful equity, at Nory everyone is an owner! 🌴 35 days of paid leave per year (including bank holidays) 🏥 Comprehensive private health insurance via Irish Life (Ireland) and Axa (UK) 🍼 Enhanced parental leave and baby loss support 📚 Learning & development culture – €1000 personal annual budget + quarterly book budget 🖥️ €250 home office workspace budget 🥳 Regular team offsites & socials 🌎 Work from anywhere for up to 3 months of the year 📍Office in London 🇬🇧 👏 And much more How we work Our vision is to build a better future for the restaurant industry. One where operators are in control, margins are stronger, and frontline teams can build careers they're proud of. To get there, we move fast, stay focused, and hold ourselves to a high bar. Our values guide how we work, grow, and win – together. These are the values we live by: We serve up impact with a side of profit: We prioritise work that delivers real financial results for our restaurant partners. We prioritise speed of service: We move fast, unblock quickly, and deliver with urgency. We act like owners: We own problems, raise the bar, and build better every day. We win as a crew: We grow stronger through feedback, collaboration, and shared wins. We hire humans. At Nory, we believe that diverse teams build better products. We welcome applicants from all backgrounds, identities, and walks of life. We do not discriminate based on gender, ethnicity, sexual orientation, religion, family status, age, disability, or race. What matters to us is how you think, how you work, and what you bring to the table. Please let us know if you require any adjustments so you can bring your best self to the interview process. You will be responsible for building and executing strategic sales plans, identifying and developing new opportunities, and managing enterprise sales cycles from initial engagement through to contract signature. Rather than relying solely on inbound demand, you will proactively identify target airlines, build stakeholder relationships, and develop opportunities through a structured account-based sales approach. We are looking for someone who has already built pipeline, navigated complex airline buying processes, and personally closed significant enterprise business. You will bring both the experience and confidence to independently lead opportunities while collaborating effectively with founders and subject matter experts throughout the sales process. This is a hands-on individual contributor role. While you will mentor and coach junior sales colleagues, your primary responsibility is generating pipeline, advancing opportunities, and winning new business. If your primary motivation is managing teams rather than selling, this role is not going to be a good fit. Key responsibilities Strategic Enterprise Sales Own the full sales cycle from prospecting to contract signature Develop and execute account-based sales strategies for airline customers Build relationships with executive and senior stakeholders Lead commercial negotiations and enterprise procurement processes Create and maintain strategic account plans Pipeline Generation & Market Development Identify and pursue new growth opportunities with airlines globally Build and maintain a healthy pipeline of qualified opportunities Develop stakeholder maps and engagement strategies Generate opportunities through industry networking, referrals, partnerships, and events Continuously expand LimeFlight's presence within the airline industry Commercial Leadership Lead by example through active pipeline creation, opportunity management, and enterprise sales execution Mentor and coach junior sales team members Support deal reviews, account planning, and opportunity strategy Share best practices for enterprise sales execution and stakeholder management Contribute to the continuous improvement of sales methodologies and commercial processes Cross-functional Collaboration Work closely with Marketing, Customer Success, Product, Implementation, and Founder teams Coordinate internal resources throughout the sales cycle Ensure customer requirements are clearly understood and communicated internally Support smooth transitions from sales into implementation and customer success Act as the voice of the market and customer within LimeFlight Key competencies 10+ years of enterprise B2B sales experience, including significant experience selling to airlines Proven track record of generating pipeline through strategic account-based selling Demonstrated success selling enterprise software, SaaS, or technology solutions to large airline organizations Track record of personally leading and closing enterprise opportunities with a combined contract value exceeding CHF 3 million Experience managing six- and seven-figure enterprise sales opportunities Strong understanding of airline buying processes, stakeholder management, and enterprise procurement Ability to independently drive opportunities forward within complex stakeholder environments Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills Strong commercial and business acumen Collaborative mindset with a team-first attitude Passion for mentoring and developing others High degree of ownership, accountability, and resilience Strongly Preferred Direct experience selling SaaS or enterprise software solutions to airlines. Existing network within the airline industry Deep understanding of airline operations and organizational structures Experience selling across different global markets, with the ability to adapt sales strategies and stakeholder engagement approaches to regional business cultures and buying processes. Experience coaching or mentoring junior commercial team members Language Fluent English required Additional languages are a plus Expected travel needs You should be willing to travel up to 30% of the year for customer meetings, industry conferences, trade shows, and relationship-building activities. Given the relationship-driven nature of the airline industry, regular face-to-face interactions are an important part of the role. Maintain clear visibility of priorities, deadlines, responsibilities, and handoffs using project-management and documentation tools. Monitor account performance through Klaviyo, Omnisend, and analytics platforms, translating results into actionable next steps and clear client updates. Contribute to a positive, energetic team culture and support the team as the client portfolio continues to grow. Take ownership of account performance and delivery, ensuring client work is completed on time and agreed objectives are addressed. Progress toward increasing levels of independence, from learning the agency and accounts initially to independently managing planning, reviews, and client relationships. Requirements At least 2 years of experience working at an agency, ideally in an account management, client services, or similar client-facing role. Strong experience communicating directly with clients, with excellent written communication skills and a clear, warm, and professional approach. Solid understanding of the e-commerce lifecycle journey and how email and SMS channels work together from first website visit through repeat purchase. Practical knowledge of email marketing activities including flows, campaigns, pop-ups, and performance reporting. Comfortable using AI tools such as Claude and ChatGPT to improve productivity and support day-to-day account management. Experience with Hiro Analytics or similar marketing analytics platforms is an advantage. Knowledge of peptide or supplement brands is a plus but is not required. Strong ownership mentality, with the ability to manage responsibilities independently and proactively identify what needs to happen next. Highly organized and detail-oriented, with strong prioritization and creative problem-solving skills. Ability to work effectively under pressure while maintaining quality, deadlines, and client communication. Collaborative team player who enjoys working closely with colleagues and contributing to a growing team. Comfortable working in an environment where feedback is informal, continuous, and integrated into active projects. Availability to work approximately 8 hours per day, Monday through Friday, aligned with Eastern Time. Benefits Competitive compensation based on experience and location. Fully remote, remote-first working environment. Full-time contractor position with international exposure. Opportunity to manage a portfolio of approximately 27 active DTC e-commerce accounts across multiple industries. Direct ownership of client accounts and significant responsibility from day one. Direct reporting relationship with the agency founder. Opportunity to work alongside copywriters, designers, and implementation specialists. Exposure to e-commerce brands across supplements, health and beauty, fashion, athletic wear, and skincare. Opportunity to contribute to a rapidly growing agency and help shape its processes and team as the client base expands. About Abacum Abacum is the leading Business Planning solution for finance teams to drive performance . By automating reporting, enabling collaboration, and simplifying planning and forecasting, we help finance teams shift from number crunching to driving strategic decisions. Founded in 2020 by two former CFOs, we've grown into a global team of 100+ people across 30+ nationalities . Headquartered in New York , we have offices in Toronto and Barcelona. We're trusted by industry leaders such as Dish Networks, Strava, BetterUp, Kajabi, JG Wentworth, Abridge, Cortex , and hundreds more. We have raised over $100m, closing in June 2025 our $60M Series B, led by Scale Venture Partners , with the strong participation of Cathay Innovation, Y Combinator , Atomico, Creandum, and angel operators from Adyen, Zapier, and Twitch. Our mission is ambitious and we can't do it alone - join Abacum as we build the future of Business Planning! We are looking for... An enterprise seller who already knows the Office of the CFO. You've carried a number selling planning, EPM, FP&A or finance software. You know how a CFO buys, how a steering committee stalls, and how to get a multi-stakeholder deal signed. At Abacum you'll own a named territory of enterprise and upper mid-market accounts across EMEA. Many of them run legacy planning tools or spreadsheets that can't keep up with the business. Your job is to show them a better foundation, and win. As an Enterprise Account Executive, you will... - Own the full sales cycle for a named book of enterprise accounts, from first meeting to signed contract - Build and run your own pipeline through targeted outbound, events, and partner co-selling with ERP vendors and implementation partners - Sell to CFOs, VPs of Finance and Heads of FP&A, and bring IT, procurement, security and legal along the way - Run complex evaluations: discovery, business cases, proofs of concept, and competitive displacements - Forecast with discipline and keep a clean pipeline in CRM - Work with Solutions Engineering, Product and Leadership to shape deals, and feed what you hear in the market back into the roadmap What we need... - 6+ years of quota-carrying B2B SaaS sales, with at least 3 years closing enterprise deals - Experience selling EPM, FP&A, planning, or other Office-of-the-CFO software (finance, ERP, spend, or data platforms) - A track record of closing six-figure ARR deals with 3–6 month cycles and hitting or beating quota - Comfort leading multi-stakeholder deals with finance, IT, procurement and security at the table - Experience displacing an incumbent, whether a legacy system or a spreadsheet-based process - A consultative, value-based approach: you build a business case in a CFO's language - The drive to build your own pipeline, not wait for inbound - Clear, sharp written and verbal communication, including running demos with senior buyers - Based in EMEA, with the ability to travel to customers and events Bonus points if you have... - Sold with or through ERP ecosystems (NetSuite, Sage Intacct, Microsoft Dynamics) or implementation partners - Worked in finance, or you're comfortable talking models, drivers and variances with an FP&A team - Used a structured sales method (MEDDPICC, Command of the Message, or similar) - Been an early seller at a scaling company and helped build the enterprise playbook Why sell Abacum You know the category. Here's why this is the product you want in your bag. 1. A market ready to switch. Finance teams are stuck between rigid legacy planning tools that need a rebuild every time the business changes, and spreadsheets and AI tools no one can trust. Abacum is the governed, AI-native foundation that fixes both. That's a displacement story you can tell in every account. 2. AI that stands up to a CFO. Plenty of vendors claim AI. Ours runs on a governed financial model, so the AI reasons and the math stays exact. CFOs and IT teams can trust the output, and that wins technical evaluations. 3. Faster time to value than legacy EPM. 700+ integrations and self-service data pipelines mean customers see value in weeks, not after a long implementation. That shortens your cycle and makes the business case easy to sign. 4. Channels that bring you deals. Abacum is the only FP&A platform to pass NetSuite's SuiteCloud Developer Network review, is listed on the Sage Intacct Marketplace, and is a verified Microsoft Dynamics 365 partner. Those ecosystems and our implementation partners mean co-sell pipeline, not just cold outbound. 5. A product that keeps getting stronger. New AI skills ship every week. Abacum works where finance already works: Excel, Slack, Claude and ChatGPT, through MCP-native infrastructure. You'll have something new to show every quarter. 6. Funded to win enterprise. Abacum raised a $60M Series B to scale into larger customers. You'll join as we build the enterprise motion, with the room to shape it and grow with it. What you get - Competitive base, uncapped commission, and equity - Remote in EMEA, with hubs in New York, Toronto and Barcelona - Direct access to leadership and a real say in how we sell to enterprise Benefits Competitive compensation including equity package Competitive vacation policy Medical Insurance L&D budget Access to Meditopia (wellbeing platform) Language courses (English / Spanish) Our Values Customer Obsession: We share the understanding that Abacum's sole purpose is to create value for customers and relentlessly deploy all creativity and energy to that end. Audacious Ambition: We dream big and embrace discomfort. We assume risks, make on-time mistakes and learn how to methodically accomplish our goals. Good People: We are self-reflective and praise diversity of thought. We don't justify the end with the means and know where to draw the line. We have fun every day. Tough Love: We truly care for everyone in the team and embrace honest feedback and radical candor as ways to genuinely help each other. Qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender perception or identity, national origin, age, marital status, protected veteran status, or disability status.
