Build a career, and a business, that?s yours More than half of established investment advisors at Canadian investment dealers earn between $500,000 and $2M a year, according to Investment Executive?s 2026 Brokerage Report Card. Every one of them started by building a client base from scratch. This junior investment advisor role gives you the path, the tools and the people to do the same. It starts with prospecting, every day. If you?re ready for that, this could be the right move for you. Who we are We?re Manulife Wealth?s largest office in the country, and we were named Advisory Team of the Year in Canada by Wealth Professional in 2024 and 2025. For over 20 years, we?ve helped entrepreneurs, professionals and families with investment, insurance, tax, corporate structures and estate planning. Today, we have more than $15 billion in assets under administration. Clear expectations and strong mentors As a junior investment advisor, your role is clear: prospect entrepreneurs and professionals to book meetings with a senior investment advisor, and prepare the investment portfolio and retirement planning analyses for those files. Alongside that, our coaching program prepares you to become an independent investment advisor as quickly as possible, while making sure you?re ready and fully trained when the time comes. Business development: you learn how to prospect effectively using our proven methods and databases, and how to close, turning a meeting into a new client. Client management: you build the technical skills of the job on real files: retirement planning, investment portfolio management, tax, insurance, corporate structures and estate planning. Mentorship: weekly coaching from some of Canada?s top-performing investment advisors, and day-to-day support from a team that has your back, especially when you?re starting out. Within 12 to 24 months, the goal is for you to become an independent investment advisor, with your own team and a clientele that belongs to you. And the training doesn?t stop there: it continues throughout your investment advisor career. What we offer A base salary to start, until your recurring commissions exceed it. Uncapped, performance-based compensation that follows you from junior investment advisor to investment advisor. A rigorous work ethic and a strong sense of responsibility. Communication skills, along with the drive to refine them through work with demanding clients. Resilience and the ability to perform in a demanding environment. Intellectual curiosity and a genuine desire to learn. An entrepreneurial mindset and a commitment to building something lasting.
Do you have experience in sales or business development, or are you looking for your first role in the field and ready to learn? In wealth management, the relationships you build last for years. Instead of starting from zero every month to chase your next commission, every client you help bring in becomes part of a clientele that belongs to you and grows over time. At Diligence Wealth Management, Manulife Wealth?s largest office in Canada, you put your business development skills to work in an advisory profession. You start as a junior investment advisor and are trained to become an independent investment advisor, with your own clientele and, in time, your own team. The reality of the profession The investment advisor profession comes down to two things: developing a client base and serving it well. Wealth management is the business through which we do it. Here, clients don?t choose a product. They entrust us with their wealth because we take care of their entire situation: investment strategy, tax optimization, estate planning, retirement planning and outstanding service. Your role is to open the door to these relationships, then learn to manage them yourself. The potential of the profession According to Investment Executive?s 2026 Brokerage Report Card, more than half of established investment advisors at Canadian investment dealers earn between $500,000 and $2M a year. These advisors built their client base over the years, and that?s exactly what this role lets you start doing. Who we are Founded in 2000, Diligence Wealth Management has become Manulife Wealth?s largest office in Canada. It has more than $15 billion in assets under administration and the strongest growth of any office in the division since its creation. Our model is built on developing the next generation. For more than 20 years, we?ve recruited people early in their careers, trained them in our methods and supported them until they built their own client base. All of this is backed by the strength of Manulife, one of the world?s largest financial institutions. Your role and key responsibilities Make daily business development calls to entrepreneurs and professionals. Book meetings between these prospects and a senior investment advisor. Prepare the investment portfolio and retirement planning analyses for these files. Use our methods, tools and databases to build and maintain your pipeline. Take an active part in our coaching and training program to develop your business development and client management skills. Clear expectations and strong mentors Whether you already have sales experience or are just getting started, our coaching program gives you the methods and support you need to succeed in an advisory context. You learn how to prospect effectively and turn a meeting into a lasting business relationship, built on the value we bring to the client. You also build the technical skills of the job on real files: retirement planning, portfolio management, tax, insurance, corporate structures and estate planning. You receive coaching from experienced investment advisors and day-to-day support from a team that has your back, especially when you?re starting out.
