About Sony Music Entertainment At Sony Music Entertainment, we fuel the creative journey. We've played a pioneering role in music history, from the first-ever music label to the invention of the flat disc record. We've nurtured some of music's most iconic artists and produced some of the most influential recordings of all time. Today, we work in more than 70 countries, supporting a diverse roster of international superstars, developing and independent artists, and visionary creators. From our position at the intersection of music, entertainment, and technology, we bring imagination and expertise to the newest products and platforms, embrace new business models, employ breakthrough tools, and provide powerful insights that help our artists push creative boundaries and reach new audiences. In everything we do, we're committed to artistic integrity, transparency, and entrepreneurship. Sony Music Entertainment is a member of the Sony family of global companies. Sony Music is looking for a Senior Product Manager, Data to join our talented product team in our London office and lead the development of a portfolio of shared data products. Our products and teams work with data spanning streaming, fan engagement, social and creator activity, and commerce. As new datasets and requirements emerge, we need to understand what the data contains, establish what it means and make it useful beyond the team or product where it originated. You will own the strategy, roadmap and delivery of a portfolio of shared data products. Working with business stakeholders, source-product owners and data engineering, you will turn business needs into clear requirements, deliver dependable datasets and establish definitions and relationships that can be reused across products. What you'll do: Own the strategy and roadmap for a portfolio of shared data products, with a focus on developing new datasets to meet emerging business needs. Understand needs across teams, identify valuable opportunities and prioritise a portfolio of initiatives that supports artist teams and the wider business. Turn business requests into well-defined data initiatives. Meet the people who produce and use the data, examine source datasets and establish the questions users need to answer, the information required and the measures of success. Define reusable datasets with engineering. Agree on the records, fields, relationships, quality, freshness and access requirements needed for each use case you're defining. Establish clear acceptance criteria and resolve tradeoffs with stakeholders and engineers. Lead delivery and adoption. Maintain a prioritised backlog and work with engineering through implementation, validation, launch and ongoing improvement. Ensure the teams receiving the data can use it to meet the agreed need. Steward shared definitions and data models. Work with domain experts and engineers to establish consistent definitions, identifiers, relationships and metrics. Develop the shared semantic layer through the initiatives you deliver, so concepts such as artists, tracks, markets, campaigns and audiences can be understood consistently across products. Connect datasets to enable new capabilities. Identify where combining data creates value and lead the product work required, including opportunities to relate streaming performance to social activity, campaigns, fan engagement and commerce. Make data discoverable and understandable. Ensure data products have clear documentation, usage examples and known limitations, helping analysts, data scientists and downstream product teams use them confidently. Help develop and apply practical data standards. Partner with leadership, engineering and relevant specialists on quality, ownership, access, lineage and appropriate use. Translate these expectations into requirements for the data products you lead. Agree responsibilities for ongoing use of the data products you deliver. Work with source-product owners and engineering teams to establish how source changes, maintenance, quality issues and communication with users will be handled for those initiatives. Measure adoption and impact. Gather user feedback and evidence of usefulness, track whether the capabilities delivered meet their intended outcomes and use those findings to inform the roadmap. Build stakeholder alignment. Explain priorities and investment decisions, communicate progress and translate technical considerations into clear business implications. You will work closely with our existing Data Platform product and engineering teams, coordinating priorities and dependencies with the platform migration and operational roadmap. You will also partner with source-product PMs and the teams building on the shared data products you deliver. Who you are: You have a track record of leading data products or platform capabilities from discovery and strategy through delivery, adoption and ongoing improvement. You can set a clear product direction and prioritise pragmatically, balancing business value, user needs, technical constraints and dependencies across teams You are comfortable examining source data and working through detailed requirements with business experts, analysts and engineers.. You have experience turning fragmented data and business requirements into reusable datasets, shared capabilities or data products that support multiple use cases. You have a strong understanding of modern data platforms, including Snowflake or comparable cloud data warehouses, and can work effectively with engineers on data ingestion, modelling, pipelines and downstream consumption. You understand semantic layers and shared data definitions, and can work with business and technical partners to establish consistent meaning across products and domains. You can make informed product decisions about data quality, freshness, ownership, access and lineage, with an understanding of privacy and appropriate data use. You are comfortable working across product boundaries, clarifying responsibilities and influencing teams whose roadmaps and priorities may differ. You have strong analytical and organisational skills, with the ability to translate complex problems into clear requirements, priorities and delivery plans. You communicate effectively with technical teams, business stakeholders and executives, creating alignment around both the work and the outcomes it should deliver. You have strong documentation skills and can make data products, definitions and decisions understandable to the teams that depend on them. You focus on whether people can use and rely on the capabilities you deliver, with experience measuring adoption, usefulness and business impact. Bonus Points: Experience working in the music or entertainment industry, particularly with streaming, consumption or artist audience data. Experience with fan engagement, social and creator analytics, marketing campaigns, D2C commerce or customer data platforms. Experience connecting data across platforms through shared identifiers, entity relationships or audience segmentation. Experience building data capabilities that support analytics, marketing intelligence or AI-powered products. Experience with data catalogs, observability tools or business intelligence platforms such as Sigma. Experience managing global or enterprise-scale data products, platform migrations or change management. Signal Processing & Data Engineer

LimaticaChemnitz, Germany14 hours ago
Full TimeOn-siteMid$6,240 - $6,240 / Year
pythonrustci/cddata engineeringgitgithub+2

Join the battery cell data revolution⚡ Location: Chemnitz (onsite preferred, hybrid possible) · Position: Full-time · Start: As soon as possible Who We Are 🌍 Limatica measures what batteries whisper. We turn the tiny voltage noise of battery cells into a quality verdict, far faster than conventional tests, and help cell manufacturers cut scrap. We are a team of twelve in Chemnitz and Munich, spanning data, ML, HPC, hardware and industrialization. Early adopters across Europe and Asia already use our technology. In 2026 we move from pilots to production lines, and our data grows faster than our team. What You'll Do 🔧 Our measurement stations produce several hundred GB of high-resolution voltage data per hour. You own the step from raw signal to reliable answer. • Work with novel cell noise data: Derive features from raw time series that make physical sense that hold up in production • Build for streaming: Design feature computations that work in streaming mode, at a throughput of up to 10,000 measurements per hour. • Make throughput a design decision: Build modular, parameterizable nodes for our distributed processing pipeline and help bring them into our Rust-based production environment. • Ship modules, not scripts: Automate evaluations end to end, from raw data to reports for our engineering team and our customers. • Own customer projects technically: Assess requirements, communicate interim results and findings, and turn feedback into improvements. What You Bring 🕵️ • Measurement experience: A degree in electrical engineering (or comparable) and 3+ years with real-world measurement data. Sampling, noise, filtering and artifacts you know from practice, not just lectures. • Physical intuition: You can explain why a feature makes sense, and you prefer a simple, well-understood method over a model nobody can explain. • Data at scale: You think in throughput: data formats, intermediate results, distributed and cached processing. • Clean engineering: Python, Git, tests and CI/CD as a matter of course. No Rust expertise needed, but the will to learn it. • Customer confidence: Fluent German and English, written and spoken. You explain results clearly to engineers and managers alike. Why Limatica 🚀 • Real ownership: Your own part of the pipeline and your first customer project within months. As we grow, this role can grow into technical lead. • Learn what few get to learn: Electrochemistry, Rust in production and data engineering at scale, with real cells and international manufacturers. • Share the upside: Salary package including virtual stock options. • Invest in yourself: Additional holiday for personal learning • Flexibility & wellbeing: Flexible hours, hybrid work, further benefits via Guud Card and free beverages What it's like here: You get a lot of trust and a lot of room to shape things. We look for people who stay with a problem until it's solved and who enjoy the moments when a customer launch needs the whole team. Those are the moments where people here grow fastest. This role is intentionally a towards-senior position. You will take on increasing responsibility for pipeline modules and customer projects. Those who help shape the architecture and lead projects independently grow into a senior role with us. Apply ✉️ Apply via the Link with your CV and with a few lines on the trickiest measurement artifact you've ever hunted down. That tells us more than any cover letter. Code samples or a GitHub link are welcome, not required. Ready to find the signal in the noise? Let's build the future of battery diagnostics together. ⚡ Find more English Speaking Jobs in Germany on Arbeitnow
